Individuals interested in registering under this category either work or volunteer for national or international not-for-profit patient advocacy organizations that:
- Demonstrate a charitable mission
- Engage in patient advocacy activities
- Provide programs, services, information, and/or support for people affected by cancer
- Have a nonprofessional membership
- Do not offer continuing medical education (CME) or scientific programs for professionals.
Additionally, advocates not affiliated with a national or international not-for-profit organization may also be eligible to register at the patient advocate rate, based on their advocacy role and experience. Please submit a CV or bio-sketch via email at patientadvocates@asco.org.
Please note that individuals registered under this category are not eligible to receive continuing education credit for their attendance at the Annual Meeting.
Patients and Survivors
New this year, cancer patients and survivors are able to register for access to the virtual meeting presentations at no cost. This reduced registration category is reserved exclusively for patients and survivors only and is not intended for medical professionals. Patients and survivors may request a unique registration code by sending an email to patientadvocates@asco.org. Please allow up to five business days for your request to be received and reviewed.
Please note that this registration category applies to the 2021 Annual Meeting only. For all other ASCO meetings, regular registration categories and rates apply.
